Dan Bucatinsky & Kevin Dillon Join Thriller ‘The Highest Stakes’

EXCLUSIVE: Emmy winner Dan Bucatinsky (Scandal) and Emmy-nominated Entourage alum Kevin Dillon have joined the cast of thriller The Highest Stakes from Steven Paul’s SP Media Group. They join previously announced Dylan Walsh, Seth Green and Charlie Weber.

In The Highest Stakes, five strangers are invited to a high-stakes poker game, but as the night unfolds and buried secrets come to light, they discover the game isn’t about winning – it’s about survival.

Tony Dean Smith (Volition) directs from a script by Gary Preisler (Gold Diggers) based on a story by Paul, who produces. The film is slated for distribution by Paramount Global Content Distribution next year.

Bucatinsky plays Dr. Scott Stevens, studious yet anxious, Stevens is a talented surgeon who’s also a gambler. When his gambling debts grew too much for him, Dr. Stevens then made tens of thousands of dollars per month on the black market by stealing kidneys from unsuspecting patients. We begin to see that he’s not cut out for this high-stakes poker game.

Dillon portrays Detective Michael Quinn, a decorated detective who has seen his share of action. Smart, self-serving, but jaded over the years, he is one of the players in the poker game.

Bucatinsky will next appear in a major recurring role on the fourth season of Hacks and is serving as a creative producer/writer on Hulu’s Midcentury Modern. He’s repped by Principal Entertainment and Innovative Artists.

In addition to his role of Johnny “Drama” Chase on Entourage, Dillon also is known for his work in the films Platoon, No Escape and cult classic The Blob. He’s repped by Gallant Management and Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern.
