KAMITSUBAKI City Under Construction TV anime revealed the main visual and trailer ahead of its July 3, 2025 premiere date. Studio SMDE is in charge of the animation production. The announcement was made at the AnimeJapan 2025 event, where the anime was presented on the White Stage.
Prior to the premiere, the anime will have its theatrical premiere in Japan on June 13, and it will screen for 2 weeks. Six new voice cast members were also revealed:
- Ayane Sakura
- Miyu Tomita
- Yohei Azakami
- Shuichiro Umeda
- Mai Todo
- Shizuka Ito

The main KAMITSUBAKI City Under Construction anime staff consists of:
- World Building, Supervision and Original Scenario: Soki Tsukishima
- Director, Series Composition: Kodai Kakimoto
- Character Design: PALOW
The main characters will be voiced by members of the virtual artist group V.W.P (Virtual Witch Phenomenon), which is composed of the following members:
- KAF
- RIM
- Harusaruhi
- Isekaijoucho
- KOKO
The five characters were on the previous teaser visuals. They are also featured on the main one, which you can see below.
KAMITSUBAKI City Under Construction is a new original IP project by Japanese YouTube-focused creative label KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO. The TV anime was announced back in January, along with a rhythm game titled KAMITSUBAKI CITY ENSEMBLE. The game is described:
Kamitsubaki City Ensemble is a rhythm game in which AI girls who were awoken after the apocalypse use special song magic to create melodies with you, in an effort to restart the world. How did the destruction happen? Why do these girls exist? All answers will be revealed…when the music stops.
There are no details about the story specifically for the TV anime, only the tag line “GO AGAINST FATE.”
