Rent a Girlfriend Season 4 has revealed a new teaser trailer and a visual featuring Mami Nanami at AnimeJapan 2025. The anime is set to premiere this July and run for 2 split cours, with Studio TMS Entertainment and the main staff returning to animate.
The new season will adapt the Hawaii Trip arc, and you can see Mami’s new visual below.

Kazuomi Koga is directing the new season, taking over from Shin’ya Une. The main Rent-a-Girlfriend voice cast is all returning for Season 4, including:
- Shun Horie as Kazuya Kinoshita
- Sora Amamiya as Chizuru
- Aoi Yuki as Mami
- Nao Toyama as Ruka
- Rie Takahashi as Sumi
- Yu Serizawa as Mini Yaemori
The story is based on a manga written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since July 2017. Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English, while Crunchyroll streams the anime. The latter describes the story:
Kinoshita Kazuya is a 20-year-old failure of a college student. He managed to kiss his girlfriend once, but was dumped after a month. “Ugh… Damn it. I never want to go through that again.”
Completely spiteful, Kazuya uses a certain method to date a girl. He goes to their meeting place and suddenly hears, “You’re Kazuya-kun, right?” A beautiful girl brushing her long, black hair behind her ear was there, smiling at him. Her name was Mizuhara Chizuru. Something real is born after just a single rental! A reckless rom-com filled with love and excitement is about to begin!
