The Sound! Euphonium anime isn’t quite ready to put down its instruments after season 3. An event was held over the weekend in Japan, bringing news that the beat goes on for one final theatrical installment, fitting titled, Sound! Euphonium: The Final Movie.

There isn’t much in the way of details for this one, but Kyoto Animation is aiming for a 2026 premiere for the final feature. While we wait for more on what’s next (and last), you can see the announcement trailer—featuring a look back at the road so far—and the first teaser visual below.

The third season of Sound! Euphonium aired in April 2024. Following Kumiko’s third year in high school, the season had Tatsuya Ishihara as director, with Jukki Hanada on series composition and Kazumi Ikeda and Shoko Ikeda handling character designs for the adaptation of Ayano Takeda’s novels.

Crunchyroll streams all three seasons of the Sound! Euphonium anime and describes the story like so:

Sound! Euphonium Plot

Spring in the first year of high school. Kumiko, a member of the brass band in junior high school, visits the high school brass band club with classmates Hazuki and Sapphire. There, she comes across Reina, her former classmate from junior high. Hazuki and Sapphire decide to join the club, but Kumiko can’t make up her mind. She recollects her experience with Reina at a competition in junior high school.
