These stackable toolkits have a compact design that looks great in my workshop

One of my all-time favorite electric screwdrivers is Hoto’s 12-in-1, a device I recently reviewed favorably, and one I’ve owned for a couple of years now. It’s still going strong, and has turned out to be great tool that can withstand the test of time.

That’s why I was more than happy to test out Hoto’s new Snapbloq line of three toolkits, available separately or as a bundle:

Each kit consists of the tool held securely in place in a protective tube, a set of accessories, and two storage cases for the accessories. All three bits snap together using magnets and clips, making storage and transport much more convenient.

Let’s take a look at each of these kits in turn.

Snapbloq S-A01 Master Precision Screwdriver Set

The S-A01 kit comes with a precision electronic screwdriver powered by a smart brushless motor that has three intelligent presets (0.1Nm–120 RPM / 0.35Nm–180 RPM / 0.5Nm–250 RPM) and auto-stop protection to prevent over-tightening damage. The screwdriver is powered by an 800mAh USB-C rechargeable battery that delivers 60 minutes of runtime.

This kit also includes a selection of bits and tools designed for engraving, grinding, polishing, or sanding.

Snapbloq D-A03 Electric Mini Drill Pen Kit

In the D-A03 kit we have a three-speed drill pen featuring speeds of 600, 900, and 1200 RPM. It is powered by an 800mAh USB-C rechargeable battery, offering 30 minutes of runtime. 

This kit comes with a selection of 20 durable M2 tool steel drill bits that are suitable for a variety of materials, from wood and plastic to metals. It’s ideal for a range of projects, including jewelry making, drilling circuit boards, 3D printed parts, and woodworking.

I’ve had these kits in my toolbox for a few weeks now, and I’ve found them to be just what I expect from Hoto: quality tools and accessories that do the job they say they do, and do that job well. They’re available individually for $80 (currently, there’s a $10 off coupon for each at Amazon), or you can grab the bundle for $215 and save $53.  

I particularly like the case the tools come in. The power tool slides into a protective tube, and can clip itself to the side of the magnetic storage boxes that the accessories come in. What’s better is that if you have multiple kits, they can join together to make storage even easier. 

The S-A01 precision screwdriver kit offers just the right amount of power without the risk of breaking anything, and all the bits are perfect. The R-A04 mini cordless rotary tool is powerful for its size and is ideal for a range of grinding and engraving tasks. The D-A03 mini drill kit comes into its own when you need to drill tiny holes into delicate items like jewelry or circuit boards.
