Yozakura Quartet Manga Announces Ending Plans
The end of Suzuhito Yasuda’s Yozakura Quartet manga is nearly upon us, according to an announcement in volume 33. The latest collected installment recently hit shelves in Japan, delivering word that the next volume will be the last for the series.
This comes after the manga entered its final arc in 2022. Prior to this, the series inspired a pair of TV anime series in 2008 and 2013, respectively, as well as OVA series in 2010 and 2013.
Yasuda’s manga originally kicked off in the pages of Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine back in 2006. Kodansha USA publishes the series in English and describes the story like so:
Hime is a superheroine. Ao can read minds. Kotoha can conjure up anything with the right word. And Akina … well, he’s just a regular guy, surrounded by three supergirls! Together, they protect the town of Sakurashin. But that’s not easy, as the town faces demon dogs and other supernatural threats!
